Look! Over there!
I started another blog dedicated to some of the best deals I come across in my local real estate market. I'm calling it UnReal Deals, and believe me some of these deals are unreal. To check it out you can go to www.UnRealDeals.blogspot.com
I’ve been a Realtor since 1998, and actively list and sell as well as managing an office for Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors. I’ve led my office in sales over the past 5 years. I’m also active in the Realtor organization, and have served as President of the Traverse Area Association of Realtors in 2008.
I was born and raised in Benzie County, which is located just south of the Leelanau Peninsula (think “pinky” on your hand map of Michigan) and west of Traverse City. My roots to the area run deep, as my great great great grandfather (mothers side) was the 3rd keeper at Point Betsie Lighthouse, having previously served at Manitou Island Light. My fathers side of family were among the first families to settle Benzonia, moving to the area some 140+ years ago.
After graduating from Benzie Central High School, I sampled a couple of colleges before finding an academic home at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. It was at Northwood that I met my wife, Tammy. I worked in advertising in the Metro Detroit area before returning to this area.
